Many people meet doctors and seek their help for abdomen discomfort and gas trouble . Some of them get cured, while others have it long time. Why ??
Abdomen discomforts have many reasons like:
- Anxiety and stress
- Food- some people cannot tolerate some kinds of food. If you have recognized any such food items, better avoid them. Common list of such food are- tea, coffee, spicy food, potato, Pork, steamed puttu, Black grams, fired items, bread
- Alcohol intake
- Smoking can
- Some medicine / tablets like- pain killers, antibiotics, some anticancer drugs, Aspirin tablet etc. if that is the case, inform your doctor and he will do the needful
- Heart attack- heart attack can sometimes present with abdomen discomfort . (refer to article on chest pain)
- Disease of abdomen like- liver disease, infections, H-Pylori infection, cancers etc,
- Irritable bowel Syndrome- it is a disease where there will not be any other diseases or reason for your abdomen discomfort , but you will continue to have pain or loose stools or hard stools.
What can you do?
- Reduce /stop the food items which can cause pain for you
- Exercise daily, can reduce your abdomen discomfort
- Eating food in correct time and healthy food habits are important
- Reducing stress can help you a lot
- If you do not find life style reasons for your abdomen discomfort, meet a doctor and get tested for other reasons
