We are pleased to share that Dr. Irene Rose Joy has been awarded a Certificate of Commendation by National Board of Examinations, Delhi in recognition of her outstanding research work carried out in Aravind Eye Care Chennai, under the Expert Guidance of Senior Specialist in Glaucoma Dr. Neethu Mohan and Dr. V. Prasanna .
Her thesis, titled “Early Outcomes of Microhook Trabeculotomy vs Kahook Dual Blade Goniotomy with Phacoemulsification: An Observational Study,” focused on evaluating and comparing two minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) techniques performed in combination with cataract surgery.
The study contributes to the growing body of evidence on safer and less invasive surgical approaches to glaucoma management and reflects Dr. Irene Rose Joy’s commitment to clinical research and advance care in Glaucoma.
