Dr. Sanoop Kumar has been actively associated with palliative care since 2013. He received his initial training under Dr. M. R. Rajagopal, widely regarded as the father of palliative care in India, at the Trivandrum Institute of Palliative Sciences (TIPS).
Since then, he has been involved in palliative care services through government institutions and community-based home-care visits, supporting patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families. Over the years, this involvement has evolved into a sustained commitment to providing compassionate, accessible and patient-centred palliative care.
Going forward, he aims to further strengthen these efforts through collaborations with government institutions and NGOs, expanding community and home-based palliative care services.
