Dr. Irene Rose Joy is an ophthalmologist trained at the prestigious Aravind Eye Care System, with a strong academic foundation and clinical experience in comprehensive ophthalmology. She was awarded the Presidential Gold Medal in Ophthalmology by the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, in recognition of her outstanding academic performance.
She has presented her work at multiple national conferences and has published in indexed, peer-reviewed journals. Her academic and research interests include glaucoma and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), with dedicated research experience in these areas. She is particularly passionate about glaucoma care, cataract surgery, medical retina, and myopia control, with a focus on delivering evidence-based and patient-centred eye care.
